Isa Wali Empowerment Initiative (IWEI) Recruitment Of Enumerators
IWEI seeks to transform the society by enabling women, youth, young persons and children escape the cycle of poverty and ignorance mostly fostered by traditional practices, by attaining a state of wellbeing and having a voice through innovative and sustainable empowerment programmes.
Isa Wali Empowerment Initiative (IWEI) is looking for 80 motivated and qualified candidates who are capable of accurate data collection to fill the position of Enumerator.
Skills required
.Enumerator should have basic assessment skills in data collection, preferably in mobile data collection.
.The enumerator should have basic skills on how to operate an android phone.
.Enumerator should have the basic assessment and observation skills in data collection.
.Enumerator should have facilitation skills for qualitative interviews
.Skill in translation and transcription of recorded sessions of qualitative interviews is much needed and will be a much-added advantage.
.Must have the ability to interpret and record responses appropriately without distorting the respondent’s meaning or confusing the reader.
.Data entry and typing skills will also be an added advantage
Criteria for selection
An Enumerator
.Must be fluent in English and Hausa.
.Must demonstrate good reading and translation skills.
.Must have good typing and data entry ability
.Must be available in the community and accessible via mobile phone.
.Previous experience working in the selected communities as an enumerator will be an added advantage.
Applicants must be Males and females between the ages of 20 and 35 years, and must be residents of Kano within the following local governments: Kumbotso, Dala, Tarauni, Fagge, and Ungogo.
Qualification
A minimum of a National Diploma in Education or a National Certificate in Education (NCE)
Experienced in working with women, girls, and young persons
Ability to write and speak fluently in English language.
Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate in hausa
